Spring League volleyball is offered to players from Grades K-8. The entire season is approximately 6-7 weeks long, starting around March 30th and ending around May 13.
The K-3 "Spring Training" program is designed to be an introduction to the sport of volleyball. The goal is for young boys or girls in any school district to be exposed to the sport in a fun and encouraging environment. Players practice one night a week. Each week for the first 5 weeks, a different skill will be covered (passing, setting, hitting, serving and defense). On the final week, we will review everything that we have learned. The focus is on fundamentals and fun. Players at this age are not ready to play in matches. They will have that opportunity once they enter 4th grade, and by participating in the K-3 program, they will already have a solid skill foundation.
The 4th-8th grade Spring League is a low competitive league aimed at providing an environment conducive to learning and enjoyment of the game. The entire season is approximately 6-7 weeks long, starting the end of March and ending mid-May. Players practice two days a week (day and times may vary). Tournaments are held on Saturdays. 4th & 5th grade participate in three tournaments, while 6th-8th grade participate in four tournaments. Per league rules, 4th-8th grade is only open to girls in the River Falls School District. (If your school does not have a spring league, contact us before registering.)
The Registration "Spring League" is not currently available.
